Surprising research results indicate that men rarely initiate a break up. This does not mean that they don’t get fed up with a relationship it just means that most of them resort to behaving badly in the hope that the woman will get the hint and leave. The problem of course is that you are not a mind reader and you are also a woman. Being a woman you expect that a man would be straight up like you would be as women generally tell their partners when they want out of a relationship. So what are some signs that your man wants to dump you?

1.       Your inner alarm goes off. This is your intuition telling you that all is not well. You know in your gut that something is not right in your relationship. This is usually the first sign that all is not well in your life and you need to pay attention. Do not talk yourself out of this feeling as it’s your body’s natural sensor of danger. Do not assume that you are being overly suspicious (unless you have a tendency to excessive and unreasonable fears about your relationship). Many women have ignored this God given sensor to their detriment and hurt.

2.       Your partner is missing in action. This is the most obvious sign that a man has a new interest and that interest now occupies whatever time was meant for you. Your partner is simply unavailable to you and he gives you lame and implausible excuses on why he is not available. When you look at the past he was always looking to spend time with you but now you seem to be an afterthought in his life. You need to be careful at this stage to ensure that he is not legitimately occupied somewhere else. Has his job changed? Is there a crisis in his life? If nothing has changed except his unavailability to you then you have cause for concern.

3.       You do all the contacting. He no longer cares enough to contact you. Another sign that a man wants to dump you is his complete lack of communication with you. Are you the one always calling? Does he never call you back even when he promises too? When all your communication is one sided you may be the only one in the relationship as he is hoping that his lack of contact will let you know that he has moved on.

4.       Lack of concern. Emotional disconnect is another sign. He no longer cares about the things that are important to you and he no longer involves you in the things that are important to him. Are you clueless about the specifics of the things that are important to him like his job? Did he invite you to the last office party or did he tell you some tale about partners not being invited this year? You may be amazed to realize that he is a complete stranger to you.

5.       Mr nasty. He is plain nasty to you and may even be demeaning in his speech toward you. This is the most obvious sign that a man wants to break up with you. He is expressing his disgust with you so that he can hurt you enough to make you leave.  

To be sure that there really is trouble in paradise then you need to see most of these signs. If you see only one of these signs it may be a wake-up call to you that your partner is unhappy in the relationship and you need to act before it’s too late.
